Modern Minis Branding
This project was based on Corporate Identity. I was approached by an up and coming company who needed me to create all the assets they needed to start their small business. These assets included: Their Logo, Brand Colors, Brand Fonts, Business Cards, Letterhead and their Envelope. My clients business was Modern Minis.
Starting off on the project they gave me a description of their company. They told me that they are a brick and mortar boutique clothing shop for babies and children run by parents for parents. They offer high quality products with both organic and gender neutral options to appeal to a mainstream market of consumers. Their products (both those that they create and those that they offer from other brands) are slightly higher end, but don’t want to outprice the average parent or appear as though they offer only luxury brands. Their goal is to offer stylish clothes with kid-friendly and whimsical twists that both parents and kids will love all while maintaining their fun, modern, and accessible persona. They are looking for a name and look and feel that is easy to remember, fun, but not too stuffy. They are interested in bright colors but want to stay away from super traditional baby and kid colors – pastels, primary colors.
From the informtaion they had given me about their company started to pull in Design ideas and bounce them off of the client trying to get a feel of what they would like as their final product. I wrote down all their needs and wants regarding the design process and kept them in the loop of it.
In the Design process I got the first design created and the branding colors set. I printed every aspect off onto a 11x17" poster so the client and I could mark upto create a better branding look for the company. It was essential that I create a mood board and tons of thumbnails and sketches. There was alot of trial and error to get to the perfect out look for the clients company.
